New Zealand is easily one of the most beautiful places on earth.
That’s an easy statement to make for people who have already been there, as they will know exactly why.
From the volcanoes, mountains, glaciers – to the stunning coastline and everything in-between, it’s an unforgettable destination.
Along with Iceland, it’s just one of those magical places on earth where everything comes together in nature to give you a display of the sheer beauty of this planet.
With cheaper flights now coming into Auckland from places such as Singapore and Bangkok, its now a lot easier to reach for those on a budget, and once there you will find a great travellers scene with brilliant hostels and easy hitch-hiking.
These 35 images were taken from a one month trip to the country during Autumn, one of the best times of the year to go there.
So if you want to escape into nature on one of the more remoter places in the world, then New Zealand should be high on your list.

Travelling along the coast is a highlight of a trip there. One of the most beautiful hikes is the Abel Tasman along the south islands northern beaches.

Beautiful pictures. We spent eight hours in Auckland on a long layover and while we can say we ve been to New Zealand, clearly we haven t – not properly. I can t wait to go back and explore it properly. One could probably spend eight months there and still have places to see.

One of the most beautiful places in the world. But I confess that I do not really like the cold, so I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting.
It’s not so cold in their summertime.
Really I (60), from India, would like to visit New-zealand for 12/13 days. However, I have budget constraint. Can you advice?
It is an expensive place but I hitch-hiked and camped, ate cheap supermarket food to get by. Not sure if that’s your style though.
