If you’ve been following me for a long time then you will know what my blog has mostly been about, and if you are new here then let me fill you in.

I started this blog just over 2 years ago to document my travels around the world. I actually started in 1997 but got late into blogging about it.

The blog has mostly been about places I have been, sharing stories and photography from what I have seen to maybe inspire a bit of wanderlust in you.

I have done a few advice articles during this time as well, but not many. I’ve mostly concentrated on showing you what I see and experience.

Now however I feel like I want to take my blog in a new direction.

I want to share with you more advice from what I have learned after 18 years of being abroad.

I want to give you the tools you will need to plan your own journeys.

Not just in travel, but in life in general as well. Many things you learn on the road can be applied to all aspects of life.

But I didn’t just want to change this overnight.

I did a few recent advice articles that went down well with you, the readers, and importantly for me I really enjoyed writing them.

That gave me the inspiration to think about moving the blog in a new direction. Moving forward in a way we could all enjoy.

I would still be putting up stories and photography from what I see around the world, but a lot more advice articles as well.

Some would be very simple advice posts such as the best websites to use for booking flights and transport, while others will delve much deeper into the real feelings and emotions that a long life on the road does for you, and all the lessons it gives.

So I would love to know what you all think about my thoughts on this. I am after all doing this for you as well as me, and want to make sure you are all happy with what I want to do with this website.

And thanks to all of you for following me on this life journey.

I never take it for granted the support you all give me.
