I love winter.

Oh sure I miss being on a hot sunny beach sometimes, but when the snow hits and the cities turn more beautiful it becomes more of a wonderland.

I have been in a bit of a dilemma recently.

Hanging around Budapest and Krakow for several weeks I was unsure whether to come back to Kiev, where  I had spent almost 3 months before, as I also loved the other cities.

But now I’m back in Kiev and the other day was -20 degrees temperature, part of my mind is saying what the fuck am I doing.

It doesn’t help that one of my friends keeps on sending me pictures of her hanging around on a hot beach in Thailand inviting me to join.

I’m in a love and hate relationship with Kiev now. Part of me loves the beauty of the winter snow, and the other part hates the bloody cold.

I’m still undecided about my fate over the next few weeks, but for now I’m braving the cold and getting out enjoying it and being back in Kiev, one of my favourite cities.

Well being brave is a bit misleading I guess considering the other day i didn’t even leave home. I stepped outside for 1 minute, froze mass off and came straight back inside.

Hot shower and snuggle up.

Heading to a cafe today to do this post it helped that there was a delicious mint cake at the end of it.

I will brave a blizzard to get to a good cake!

What about you – do you like cold snowy winters?

I’ve done quite a few advice articles recently which I love doing, but want to get a few photography posts done as well. After all words can inspire and help, but sometimes just seeing beautiful images of places can give you motivation to visit even more.

Yeah I admit this isn’t the most exciting post ever but I love Kiev and Ukraine so much I just wanted to share some photos with you.

Plenty more photos to come in the future!
